How much do hair extensions cost?
This has to be THE MOST OFTEN TEXT OR EMAIL OR CALL QUESTION that I receive!
My response is.. I’m so sorry… I do not quote prices over the phone or email or text, please come in for a consultation in person. I am more than willing to FaceTime or chat on the phone but all the colors and all the lengths make that a challenge.
WHY????? you say ????
If you look at my extensive list of hair extension companies that I offer, I need you to come in for a consultation if at all possible.
I offer every type of attachment method and numerous companies that I have researched and also paid for their certifications…
Its best if you want to tell me the length you want and your high and low budget you really can spend on hair extensions. Then we determine the amount you need for your desired look.
The other thing that is very hard to quote is the length and amount you need to order. You’d be surprised at how long a 12′ is and a 16″ length can be very long to some clients. I have to say that in my market anything over 20″ the client had usually asked within a week to trim it. Wearing long hair from shorter is a dream but also a challenge to style every day.
Lets talk about that budget that you truly want to spend once we decide….
When I put a swatch up to some clients that is 12″ long they freak, when I say 16″ they say that’s too long!, when I say 20″ they say they want that but that’s out of their budget!!
If you have fine hair you might just need two packs of a brand to help you feel like you have some density in your own hair. If you have long hair and need to fill in sparse ends that you really want to thicken and just need to fill in you might need 2 or 4 packs to get a density that you have dreamed about and what to have you might need 4-6 packs. If you want longer hair and it is really shorter we have to add hair in the nape area to give you that longer hair and that is more packs that we need to fill in that area as well.
This can ONLY be done by a consultation and a deposit for the hair cost is due at that appointment. Application fee is charged when we meet for your installation of the hair.
The last issue with why it is hard to quote is that each of my hair brands have different amounts they put into “A BUNDLE” Some have 20 int0 10. some have 12 into 6, some have 25 into bonded 50.
Each brand once we decide has a cost value to add up for amounts needed. That is the art and experience you are receiving with my extensive experience in hair extensions.
HAIRTALK has packs of 20 that make 10 sandwiches.. but they have PETITE packs that are smaller in size that are 12 Pieces per pack that make 6 sandwiches of tapes.
TruMatch and AQUA come in “PACKs” that are 10 pieces that make 5 sandwiches in the hair.
Bonded come in 25 pieces and most clients need 125-200 pieces or 4-6 packs
I-Tips come in 25 pieces and most clients need 125-200 pieces
12″ is average $75 a pack
16″ is average $85-$120 a pack
20″ is average $125 a pack
24″ is average $250 a pack
You might need 2 packs, 4 packs or 6 packs and 12″ or 16″ or 20″…. Therefore, It is impossible for me to quote A PRICE over a text or phone call….
Does that answer any questions? XOXO. if you are contacting other hair extension salons and they average a large basic cost and tell you $2000 for hair extensions…. well that’s NOT how I roll….most often over the years, the stories that I have heard about in my chair, they often times keep the extra hair that you paid for and they don’t put in your full purchased hair extensions into the application.
I hear from new clients so often, that they say you have to buy the brand they use in their salon. In fact, i know a lot of salons don’t even know what brands they offer or tell you what brand you have in your hair. Or they say you have to order THEIR BRAND that they are trained in. I have been doing this along time so I have grown and certified in brands that have surfaced along the way and have filtered the best companies that have the BEST hair for a long term investment.
No where else will you get this many options for your needs, hair texture and color match and especially your budget.
Note here… Supply and demand and all my companies have sent notice that they are increasing pricing. I have to adhere to this increase. I will have a detailed purchase price once we meet and I firmly believe in trying different methods….. try the first one and then later try the other brand… just like clothing brands, lets see what fits your hair and your budget.
I’m looking forward to working with you!!
All my best……Cindy
